If you love frothy hot drinks as much as me, this beet latte is a must try.
I used beet powder (available in an health food store) and collagen because they are both important for helping the liver detoxify harmful toxins that come from daily exposure from food, air, water, and products we use on our skin and in our homes.
Our bodies are equipped with detoxification mechanisms, but when these organs get over burdened, we start to see symptoms like fatigue, increased food allergies, headaches, PMS and menopausal symptoms, weight gain, and skin conditions like acne and rapidly aging skin.
Adding detox superfoods, like beets, into your diet daily will help you feel more vibrant, energized and focused. Get the recipe for this delicious frothy goodness below!
Beets assist Phase 2 liver detoxification, where toxins in the body are neutralized and made water soluble so that they can be excreted in the urine.
Specifically, it is the betalins found in beets that aid in the elimination of toxins that require a master antioxidant called glutathione, for excretion.

- First, warm up your milk alternative on a stove. Careful not to let it boil! Then add the hot milk to your blender and add the rest of the ingredients. Blend until frothy. Enjoy!
If you can't find beet powder, look for frozen beet cubes in the freezer or add about a 1/4 cup freshly pressed beet juice to the milk while you're warming it up.
